Join Us for a Forum of Our New Faculty Association

Dear UC Merced colleagues,

We invite you to join us for a Senate faculty-only forum of our new UC Merced Faculty Association (UCMFA) on Wednesday, May 3rd from 12 pm to 1 pm via Zoom.

Please register to have a calendar invite sent to you with a Zoom link. You can register here: https://forms.gle/ez3mZjH7i6eewzAo7

At the forum, we will introduce our Association and ask you to share what major issues are currently impacting you as a faculty member. For example, are you concerned about:

● Faculty workload implications of reduced TA and Unit18 appointments?

● Research grant financial reporting or a lack of funding for your grants’ GSR / Postdoc compensation?

● Preserving and strengthening shared governance?

The forum is a chance to come together and find common ground around how to improve our lives together. And it’s an opportunity to discuss how our Association can support and complement the Academic Senate to advance our shared interests. We’ll also announce how you can become a member.

We look forward to seeing you at the forum.

Best regards,

UC Merced Faculty Association Board and Steering Committee:
